$10,000 in Free Research Credits for the Molecular Intelligence Platform

MIP Research Credits Program

Apply for up to $10,000 in free credits to run multi-omics research on Purna's Molecular Intelligence Platform.

We built the Molecular Intelligence Platform (MIP) to help researchers make sense of complex multi-omics data: genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and everything in between. It’s designed to handle the computational heavy lifting so you can focus on the science.

Today, we’re opening up our MIP Research Credits Program. If you’re an academic researcher, an independent scientist, or part of a research institution, you can apply for up to $10,000 in free credits to use the platform for your work.

No strings attached to your findings. No equity asks. Just credits to run real research on real data.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Free Bioinformatics Platform Credits: What MIP Offers

MIP is Purna AI’s cloud-based research platform built for multi-omics analysis. It brings together:

  • Compute infrastructure for large-scale genomic, proteomic, and metabolomic workloads
  • Pre-built analysis pipelines for variant calling, differential expression, pathway enrichment, and more
  • API access for integrating MIP’s models and tools into your own workflows
  • Data storage for securely hosting and managing research datasets
  • Visualization tools for exploring results interactively

Whether you’re running a GWAS on 50,000 samples or doing single-cell RNA-seq analysis on a rare disease cohort, MIP is designed to scale with your project.

Multi-Omics Research Funding Through MIP Credits

What You Get

Approved researchers receive up to $10,000 in platform credits that cover:

  • Compute: GPU and CPU hours for running analysis pipelines, model training, and batch processing
  • API calls: Access to MIP’s molecular intelligence APIs, including variant annotation, protein structure prediction, and pathway analysis endpoints
  • Data access: Access to curated reference datasets hosted on the platform (public genomic databases, annotation resources, pre-computed embeddings)
  • Storage: Secure cloud storage for uploading, managing, and archiving your research datasets
  • Visualization: Full access to MIP’s interactive data exploration and reporting tools

Credits are denominated in USD and deducted based on actual resource usage. You can track your balance and usage in real time through the MIP dashboard.

Who Can Apply

The program is open to:

  • Academic researchers: Faculty, postdocs, and graduate students at accredited universities and research institutions
  • Independent scientists: Researchers not affiliated with a traditional institution but actively conducting scientific work (e.g., citizen scientists, open-source biology contributors)
  • Institutional affiliates: Scientists at non-profit research organizations, government labs, teaching hospitals, and public health agencies

We’re particularly interested in teams working on:

  • Complex multi-omics integration (genomics + proteomics + metabolomics)
  • Rare disease genomics and variant interpretation
  • Population-scale genomic studies
  • Drug target discovery and validation
  • Single-cell and spatial omics analysis
  • Pharmacogenomics and personalized medicine

Commercial entities may apply on a case-by-case basis, but the program is primarily designed for non-commercial research.

How Credits Are Allocated

Credits are allocated on a milestone-based schedule, not as a lump sum. Here’s how it works:

  1. Initial allocation: Upon approval, you receive 30% of your approved amount to get started with your project
  2. Progress review: Once you’ve utilized your initial credits, we do a lightweight check-in to understand your progress and any additional needs. You then receive 50% of your approved amount to continue your work
  3. Top-up allocation: If required, an additional 30% of your approved amount may be granted based on continued progress and project needs

This approach ensures credits are being used effectively and lets us support more researchers across the program.

How to Apply

Applying is straightforward:

  1. Visit purna.ai/inviting-researchers and fill out the application form
  2. Describe your project: Tell us what you’re working on, what data you’re using, and what you hope to achieve with MIP. A few paragraphs is plenty. We’re not looking for a grant proposal.
  3. Share your background: Your name, affiliation (if any), and a link to your lab page, Google Scholar profile, ORCID, or GitHub. Anything that helps us understand your work.
  4. Review timeline: We review applications on a rolling basis and aim to respond within 5 business days

There’s no formal deadline. The program runs until we decide to close it, and we’ll give advance notice on our blog and social channels before that happens.

Validity Period

Credits are valid for 12 months from the date of allocation. If your project needs more time, reach out before the expiry date and we’ll work with you on an extension.

Unused credits expire automatically after the 12-month window.

Terms and Conditions

We want to keep this simple, but here are the ground rules:

Usage

  • Credits must be used for legitimate research purposes only. This means actual scientific investigation, analysis, or tool development. Not crypto mining, not training commercial products, not reselling access.
  • Credits are non-transferable. They’re tied to your account and project. You can’t give them to someone else or move them to a different project without approval.
  • Credits are non-redeemable for cash. They have no monetary value outside the platform.

Publications and Acknowledgment

  • Any publications, preprints, conference papers, or public-facing outputs derived using the MIP platform must include an acknowledgment. Something like: “This research was supported by the Molecular Intelligence Platform (MIP) by Purna AI through the MIP Research Credits Program.”
  • We don’t claim authorship, intellectual property, or ownership of your findings. Your research is yours.

Data Privacy

  • You are responsible for the data you upload. If your datasets contain protected health information (PHI), personally identifiable information (PII), or data subject to IRB, GDPR, or HIPAA requirements, it’s your responsibility to ensure compliance before uploading.
  • MIP provides secure, encrypted storage and follows industry-standard security practices. But the legal obligation for data handling and consent remains with the researcher.
  • We do not access, share, or sell your research data. Period.

Revocation and Misuse

  • Purna AI reserves the right to revoke credits at any time if we determine they’re being used in violation of these terms, for non-research purposes, or in ways that compromise platform integrity.
  • If credits are revoked, you’ll be notified and given a reasonable window to export your data.

Commercial Use

  • The credits program is for non-commercial research. If your work leads to something with commercial potential (a product, a service, a dataset you want to license), that’s great. But you’ll need a separate commercial agreement with Purna AI before using MIP for any commercial derivative work.
  • Not sure if your use case qualifies? Just ask. We’re happy to talk it through.

Program Changes

  • Purna AI reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the MIP Research Credits Program at any time. We’ll do our best to give advance notice, and existing credit allocations will be honored through their validity period.

Research Sharing

  • As part of the program, Purna AI may feature your research as a case study on our blog, social media, or marketing materials. This will only happen with your team’s explicit approval before anything goes public.
  • You’ll have full review and sign-off rights on any case study content. Nothing gets published without your green light.
  • Case studies will include proper attribution to you and your team.

Why We’re Doing This

Honestly? Because the best way to build a great research platform is to have great researchers using it. We want MIP in the hands of people pushing the boundaries of multi-omics science, and we want to learn from how they use it.

Every bug report, feature request, and “this pipeline doesn’t work with my edge case” is gold for us. You get free compute for your research. We get a platform that actually works for the problems that matter.

If that sounds like a fair trade, we’d love to hear from you.
